WHAT IS A BANNER EXCHANGE?
A banner exchange is a fairly simple concept once you understand the basics.
So here we go...

Imagine 5 sites all put their banners into a pool and got a programme to rotate the banners around the sites.

If you were one of these sites, then your banner would get exposure (impressions) and clicks to your site from the other four. This is basically all we do at Adult Banners.

Everyone puts their banners into a BIG pool, and we manage delivery of your banner to other sites across our exchange.

When people sign-up there is one simple requirement, place a piece of HTML (Banner Code) somewhere on your website so that we can display other peoples banners in that advertising spot, we rotate these banners so that everyone gets a chance to be seen on lots of other sites across the network.

HOW TO GET STARTED
You need to follow the follwing steps in order to get set up on the exchange, if you get stuck at any point, just come back to this page for help.
  1. SIGN UP: First you need to create an account CLICK HERE TO JOIN
  2. NOW LOGIN: You need to login and view the control panel, it's a good idea to familiarise yourself with the interface. Once you've logged in..

    SETUP YOUR BANNERS
    1. Select 'ADD/EDIT YOUR BANNERS'
    2. Choose a category for your site
    3. Choose categories of banners that you want to display on your site
    4. Input - Site URL, Banner URL, And ALT tag for upto 3 banners.
      NOTE: A BANNER URL is the location of YOUR BANNER on YOUR SERVER. So if your site was www.myadultsite.com, it is a good idea to create and store your banners in a folder called banners. You can even name your banners by calling them 468x60.gif, 120x60.gif, 88x33.gif. Your BANNER URL for each size would then be:
      • http://www.myadultsite.com/banners/468x60.gif
      • http://www.myadultsite.com/banners/120x60.gif
      • http://www.myadultsite.com/banners/88x33.gif
      The ALT TAG of a banner is simply a piece of text which replaces the banner if it cannot be found.

    SETUP THE BANNER EXCHANGE ON YOUR SITE
    1. Your account will not be accepted until you have setup your banner.
    2. Login select 'GET BANNER CODE (HTML)', copy and paste onto a prominent page on your site.
    3. Remember, the more clicks our exchange banner gets, the more traffic you get back!
    4. If you refer any webmasters from the banner on your site, you get 1000 free impressions!

    Once you have sent ONE impression you're account will be enabled and you will start to receive some of the 2500 impressions you got for signing up.
RULES
Some of the rules of the exchange...

  1. You may have ONE account PER SITE.
  2. You may not have the same banner and site listed in TWO accounts.
  3. You MUST use the BANNER CODE provided, if modified - it doesn't work!
  4. Anyone found cheating will be banned.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Some of the important information you should know about the exchange...

WEIGHTING OF BANNERS

It takes a while for us to assess the needs of your account. Some sites obviously generate more impressions and click-thru's than others. As such, we are able to 'weight' the delivery of all banners across the exchange depending on how much exposure our banner on your site is getting. Please do not be alarmed if you are generating lots of impressions on your site but your stats show that you are not getting any back. If you feel that your banner is not getting the impressions and clickthru's back - please email us with your account details and we can make adjustments to properly 'weight' your account. There is plenty of traffic available and we CAN DELIVER hits to your site. Please feel free to contact us with ANY queries you have.

UNIQUE HITS

It is worth noting that we only count impressions of our banner to ONE UNIQUE IP ADDRESS TWICE in any 24 hour period. That is, if you show a banner on one page to one unique visitor, then this counts as a credit, if they see another banner on another page on your site, this also gets counted as a credit. If you show them a third banner on a third page, we do not count this. We do this so that we can be sure that nobody is trying to cheat the system.

TRACKING YOUR HITS

Why not use methods of your own to verify the traffic that we send you? You can do this by creating a simple page on your site, maybe /adultbanners.html and putting a <META refresh> TAG in the header to redirect to your home page. Then login and change your URL for each of yourt banners to http://www.yoursite.com/adultbanners.html. Doing this will ensure that you can cross-reference any hits that we are reporting as sent to you with the hits reported in your own server-based stats packages.

CREATE DECENT BANNERS!

It sounds obvious but you REALLY should make sure that your banner catches the eye and grabs the attention, for the amount of exposure your banner will get it can make a LOT of difference! make use of ALL THREE of the banner options and monitor the click-thru percentages to test different banners to see which ones work best for your site. If you re-design & change your banners regularly then you will be able to get your banners just right over time.
WORKING WITH YOU

In order to ensure that it is a success for everyone involved, we aim to do the following.
  • Deliver an amount of traffic to your site that counter-balances what you are providing to the exchange, if we're not doing this with your account - CONTACT US!!!   • Run an honest banner exchange that we ourselves can gain a little benefit from by placing a couple of affiliate banners in the exchange to make a little money. There is absolutely no point whatsoever in us manipulating stats and not delivering on the basic promises we make, we can't afford to - we need you to view the exchange as a useful way of getting your site noticed.
  • WE NEED YOU: Without you providing us with advertising space on your site, we can't do two things: We can't deliver the banners of other members onto your site and we can't then deliver your banners to other sites.
